Crowd Management Issues Were Discussed During the S4C Meeting in Paris

Crowd management issues were discussed during the S4C meeting in Paris
The SHIELD4CROWD is a short project. Therefore, we dynamically move to the next steps.  Yesterday and today, members of the Consortium participated in a meeting in Paris.

The partners started the event with a discussion on the work completed in the first month of the project duration and planned activities. They also visited the Operational Security Cooperation Centre of SNCF, PARP and Préfecture de Police of Paris and hosted the first User Observatory Group meeting.

The second day was dedicated to the “Security processes” workshop during which the practitioners focused on two main thematic blocks:

  • Threats identification and existing processes and vulnerabilities
  • Location targets in the different countries

The first part of the workshop aimed to list, illustrate and prioritize the threats related to crowd management in urban environments, that should be studied during the SHIELD4CROWD project. During the second part of the activity, the partners worked on each identified and prioritized threat by detailing it, describing existing processes and identifying strengths, weaknesses (vulnerabilities), and technological needs (and related legal constraints).

The outcomes of the workshop will serve as a base for developing 10 use cases during the consortium meeting, which will take place in Slovakia on October 10-12, 2023.
