We are pleased to announce that SHIELD4CROWD project has been launched! The project partners met on August 2, 2023 at a virtual kick-off meeting to go step by step through all the work packages and discuss the most important activities and tasks for the upcoming months.

The initiative aims to identify technology gaps that have to be solved in order to reduce existing vulnerabilities and improve security efficiency. It also ensures, that research and development activities to be implemented in the subsequent pre-commercial procurement (PCP) will take place in Europe.

SHIELD4CROWD focuses mostly on the challenges such as: 

• Management and safety of large crowds
• Attacks from unmanned aircraft systems
• The use of CBRNE tactics and attacks
• Detection of cold weapons
• Dealing with firearms attacks
• Managing urban riots
