SHIELD4CROWD is looking for technological solutions to enhance the protection of public spaces in EU cities against security threats related to crowd management.

The project team will consider both mature and less mature technologies to mitigate those risks and improve crowd management.

The solutions recognised as the most relevant to the security threats scenarios will be listed in a catalogue that will be made public and sent to the public and private authorities targeted by the project, as well as to the User Observatory Group (UOG) and potential public buyers of the solution.

The project is intended to last over time, since the aim of SHIELD4CROWD is, in a second phase, to lead to a PCP – pre-commercial procurement and the R&D of one of the technological solutions selected – would then be financed by the European Commission following the submission of another EU project (from the 2nd half of 2025).
